At its heart, First Aid Exeter is a family-run business with over 15 years’ experience delivering first aid training across the South West. Originally founded on Dartmoor in Devon, Indie Lyndale and her team of highly qualified instructors have trained thousands of people in essential first aid skills.

Today, we operate a growing network of experienced instructors delivering training in all major cities across southern England.

All of our instructors hold a current First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification and have completed extensive first aid instructor training. This includes HSE-recognised instructor training, combined with an appropriate teaching or education qualification.

While individual training pathways vary depending on each instructor’s background, we take great pride in the depth of experience across our team and their passion for delivering high-quality training. Our outdoor instructors also bring hands-on experience from working in challenging outdoor environments, including real-life first aid incidents in remote locations.

We deliver first aid training across Exeter, Plymouth, and the wider South West.

Courses are held at a range of venues, selected to suit your group size and specific requirements. As many of our courses are tailored to individual needs, the venue may reflect the content being delivered — for example, courses that include a wilderness element may be held in locations that support this type of training.

For added convenience, we can also deliver first aid courses at your workplace.

Our minimum group size is two participants. This allows us to deliver effective, practical training and run realistic scenarios that help reinforce learning and build confidence for real-life situations.

If you are training on your own, we recommend joining one of our scheduled open courses, which are already running and open to individual bookings.

No prior experience is required. We welcome learners of all backgrounds and are passionate about teaching first aid — a vital skill that can truly save lives.

We offer first aid courses ranging from three hours to three days in duration.

For our comprehensive first aid qualifications, each training day runs for a minimum of six hours and a maximum of eight hours.

All full-day courses and longer result in a qualification valid for three years from the date of training.
