A Brief History

Where We Started

First Aid Exeter has delivered first aid training for over 15 years as a family-run business led by founder Indie Lyndale. With more than 30 years’ experience leading outdoor expeditions, alongside a background in teaching and lecturing, Indie brings extensive real-world and educational expertise to every course.

Recognising the limitations of traditional, theory-heavy training, she set out to create engaging, practical first aid courses that promote confidence and long-term learning. Her approach focuses on interactive, hands-on training designed to prepare people to respond effectively in real emergency situations.

With over 30 years' of experience as a mountaineer, Indie has delivered first aid in some of the most challenging conditions out there. She brings this unique perspective to her practice as a teacher, ensuring that our training standards are second to none.

With Claire as our CFO, we can be sure that the First Aid Exeter finances are in safe hands. She plays a key role in keeping our prices competitive, and ensuring our team are all fed, watered and ready to deliver excellent first aid training at all times.
