Health and safety law requires employers to provide a safe working environment for their staff. Where a workplace risk assessment identifies the need for a higher level of first aid provision, the three-day First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification delivers comprehensive, in-depth training to support a well-prepared and highly competent workforce.
This extensive three-day first aid course covers a wide range of emergency scenarios and workplace incidents, equipping participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond quickly, safely, and effectively.
Successful completion of the course results in a First Aid at Work qualification, which exceeds the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Learners are assessed throughout the course using practical, scenario-based activities, alongside a multiple-choice assessment on the third day. The assessment process is supportive, and additional time is given to revisit any techniques or topics where further confidence is needed. There are plenty of opportunities for discussion and questions throughout the training.
