What This Course Covers
Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health
Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition, whether that is you, a friend, a family member or a colleague.
Our mental health awareness course is designed for people from all backgrounds teaches participants how to detect a possible mental health issue and how to start a conversation and assist a person towards professional help.
This short course is accessible to anyone and is a great way to familiarise yourself with the basics of first aid for mental health.
At the end of your course, you will have a multiple choice question paper. There will be no external assessors and you will obtain a qualification in ‘Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health’.
All of our instructors are highly knowledgeable and experienced in coping with real life emergencies and they communicate this knowledge in their courses.

Qualification
Your ‘Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health’ qualification will be valid for 3 years from the date that you finish your training. Should you wish to renew your qualification you will need to attend another Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health course.
Should you require additional FAA & Ofqual external accreditation, we can provide this on any private course.
As FAA accreditation is processed externally, there is an additional £15.00 surcharge for each attendee you wish to regulate.

Private Groups
We are happy to run any of our first aid training courses as private groups at either your venue or one of our training centers. To run a private group we just have to charge our small group price as a minimum.
